Wait lists are non binding. Deposits are non- refundable and will be taken when pregnancy is confirmed, in order of wait list.
Puppy payment is due in full at 8 weeks. At this time the puppy will be transferred in to the owner's name with AKC, so full commitment is required. Pups can go home at 12 weeks.
Q: How do we socialize our pups?
A: All puppies are born and raised in the home from birth to 5-6 weeks. From day one they are handled and started immediately on ENS on day 3 to 16.
Puppy ENS stands for Early Neurological Stimulation - a short, structured set of exercises done with very young puppies (typically days 3-16 of life) to gently “wake up” their developing nervous system. It’s sometimes called the “Super Dog Program” because it was originally researched by the U.S. military canine program.
What the exercises look like, they’re quick - about 3-5 seconds each, once per day:
Tactile stimulation (tickling between toes)
Head held upright
Head pointed down
Supine position (on their back)
Thermal stimulation (brief exposure to a cool surface)
When done correctly, studies and breeder experience suggest puppies may develop:
Stronger stress tolerance
Improved cardiovascular performance
Better immune response
Increased confidence and resilience
It gives them a tiny controlled amount of stress at the right time, which helps their system adapt and grow stronger. Further ENS information can be found here: https://breedingbetterdogs.com/article/early-neurological-stimulation
Nails are trimmed once weekly from 2-12 weeks.
Pups are taken individually, in pairs, and collectively on outings from 5 - 12 weeks to help with environmental desensitization and early socialization.
They learn invaluable life skills and behaviors during the 12 weeks they live with their mother, father, and littermates. Since they go through fear stages between 7 to 10 weeks, this longer window also helps avoid sending them home during an already stressful time internally.
